Meet the community – Imbé

Quilombo is synonymous with the struggle for land and freedom, and from this struggle that began more than three hundred years ago, the quilombola communities of Vale do Ribeira emerged. Communities that have survived until today against the tide of land concentration and the devastation of the Atlantic Forest.

The Quilombola Community of Imbé, in Capoeiras – Pernambuco, which really needs our help, and our motto is: “Bring opportunities and hope.”

There are more than 200 families living in a state of vulnerability, hundreds of children in the limitation of the now, without the right to dream, living the pain of racism and being a constant target of prejudice.
